Tournament Venue
This year Nationals will be held at La Trobe University, Bundoora. La Trobe has top quality fields which stay green and soft all year round thanks their very own natural reservoir which collects runoff from the nearby wetlands. Sporting tournaments are regularly held at La Trobe, which boasts two large clubhouses - one with the all essential bar facilities - as well as being in close proximity to public transport.
Click on pictures below for closer look at the fields and their location.

Tournament Draw
Here is the link for the FINAL DRAW (including the changes made for Sunday)
Player Packs
We are very excited to announce that all players at AUC 2007 will
receive either a Gaia hat or visor as part of their players pack.
Each player will need to indicate on the registration page if they
would like a hat or a visor and the size of the headgear (S or L),
the combinations being:
Hat - S
Hat - L
Visor - S
Visor - L
Teams which pay first will have first dibs on the type and size of
headgear. There will be a range of colours available which will be
randomly allocated to teams. If players on your team would prefer a
differently colour, some additional merchandise will be available at
the GAIA store for swapping.
Food Glorious Food
Breakfast and lunch will be provided every day at the fields. Vegetarians and other special diets will be well looked-after! Lunch will be in the traditional “basket” format, and breakfast will be delicious and definitely contain Nutella as an option. There will be a dinner on Monday night, and a special lunch provided during the final; details will be provided shortly.
Physio & Massage Services
There will be a professional physio, Cameron Ivchenko, on duty at the tournament. Cameron will be available for strapping and consultation during the day. We will also have some trainee myotherapists on hand in order to soothe aching muscles after a long day running around. All will be available at very reasonable rates.
Photo Services
Bring out those smiles, visualise your glorious on-field plays, and get
out your greenest party outfits, because AUC 2007 has a tournament
photographer!
Roger Barnes, accompanied by his lovely assistant Alex, will be roaming
the 4 day event taking action snaps and team photos, and generally
capturing the Ultimate atmosphere.
The photos will be on sale, at very reasonable prices, at the
tournament. Images will be available in printed form at the event or
you may purchase digital copies (high-resolution), delivered by email.
Photos will be available for purchase online after the tournament too,
details to be advised.
So don't forget to swing by and check out the photos on display!
Family Services
We all love our kids, but we also love to play ultimate, so this year at Nationals there will be some facilities provided for parents and their young kids. At this stage the plan is to provide a room where your kids may play, be feed, changed and rest in a warm and safe environment. Further details will be posted as they are worked out, however to encourage parents to get together and discuss what they would like to bring or be made available there has been a Yahoo Group set up.
To join the discussion group, enter your email address and click the image...
Contact Lauren Brown, our Family Services Coordinator, for further details on the family services that will be available at Nationals.

Kids are well looked after at Nats2007, they even may pick up a few new tricks. Photo thanks to an anonymous donor.
Social
We’ll have rockin’ social options 3 nights of the tournament.
Saturday - Welcome 'Get-Together' Party, Peacock Inn, 210 High Street, Northcote
" This recently refurbished pub is divided into two main areas - the front bar / cafe with comfy couches and big windows that look onto High Street, and the main pub area which is warmed in winter by an open fireplace.
The fantastic large beer garden with a huge palm tree as its centrepiece is an institution for drinkers here. Rumors that it is to be transformed into a set of modern apartments are said to be nothing but gossip - phew! "Arrive from 7 onwards, free glass of beer or wine on arrival (just mention you're an Ultimate nut, and supply proof of your AFDA registration eg card or AFDA player number!!), some finger food provided (if you're early!!!) and captains may be able to pick up their player packs on the night (details to be announced)
Tram 86 will go along High St, leaving from Bourke St in the City. Epping and Hurstbridge trains will get you close, get off at Merri or Westgarth stations.
Monday - Dinner and pub night at the Eagle Bar in Union Building at La Trobe.
There'll be yummy food and great drink deals all night.
Dinner will be available from 6-8pm and $2 BEERS from 6-9pm at the bar.
See map in player handbook or link below for location.
Tuesday - The Nationals 2007 Official Party will be held at the Eagle Bar in Union Building at La Trobe.
CHEAP BEER AND FREE FINGER FOOD FOR A LIMITED PERIOD
$2 BEERS AND CHEAP LITTLE CREATURES FROM 6PM - 9PM
PLENTY OF PRIZESThere's a big, covered "outdoor" area (glass roof when it's raining), plenty of dancing room, pool tables, arcade games, and the food is yummy.
For music, we'd like to suggest that a number of teams make a CD with a half hour of music, and these will be played throughout the night. If your team is keen, you should come up with a theme for your set (can be "Our team's fave tracks" if you want) and send Nicky Smith your song list before April 20. We might even have a prize for the best set!
And the party theme is: "GREEN"!! Interpret that any way you like..
Don't worry about having to leave the fields to get cleaned up after a days play, there are plenty of showers available at the fields that you can use.
For locations of the Eagle Bar, fields, showers, parking etc see the map below.
